Alfonso De Angoitia Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Grupo Televisa, the world's foremost Spanish language media conglomerate. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of the company since 1997. He received his Law Degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

From 1999 to 2003 he was the company's Chief Financial Officer. Under his leadership in the financial front, Televisa -which quotes in the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1991 and in Wallstreet since 1993- has become one of the most attractive investment options. Today, in market cap terms, Grupo Televisa is the world's largest diversified Spanish-language media company. This is the result of strategic investments in diverse entertainment fields, the company's strong competitive position in the Mexican Broadcast and Pay-TV markets, its financial strength and a stable operating performance ratio.

Alfonso de Angoitia is a member of Fundación Mexicana para la Salud, Fundación UNAM and Fundación Kardias. He is also member of the Board of Directors of the Americas Society.

Prior to joining Grupo Televisa, he was a founding partner of Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, one of Mexico's leading law firms. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of, among other companies, Univision, Grupo Modelo, Cablevision, Sky, Cablemás and Bestel.
