Emilio Azcárraga Jean, Grupo Televisa's President, was given the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, at the Enactus World Cup international convention 2013, held from September 29 to October 1, in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Enactus is an international nonprofit organization joining students, professors, and business leaders who are committed to use the power of entrepreneurial action in order to transform life and build up a more sustainable and better world. Its ultimate aim is to improve the standard of living and life quality of the most vulnerable population.

Currently, this institution is working with over 1,600 Universities, 60,000 students and 400 companies across the five continents.  The teams attending the World Cup 2013 were the actual winners of the local competitions held in their corresponding countries during the first semester of this year.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, is granted to those people who serve as a model of the transformation power that the enterprising people have by applying their talents, passion and ideas to achieve an exceptional success in the business world, but also to create a positive impact in their communities and the world, as well.

Upon receiving this recognition, Emilio Azcárraga Jean, said: "I personally admire the way in which Enactus encourages the entrepreneurial spirit of young students, and stays faithful to the philosophy of supporting productive and sustainable projects. It´s not just about giving, the best thing is to teach people how to work in order to transform their lives permanently within the mid and long term".
