Emilio Azcárraga receives a recognition from military attachés
Grupo Televisa's President, Mr. Emilio Azcárraga Jean, was given an honor medal by the Military, Naval and Air Attachés Association.
Before the presence of military attachés from different countries accredited in Mexico, Mr. Azcárraga expressed gratitude for this honor and spoke about the importance of acknowledging the works of the armed forces, within our country and abroad.
"There has always been a firm conviction in Grupo Televisa about the importance of the military forces in our country and, needless to say, that recognition is extended to the military forces from every country gathered here, whenever there are natural disasters, whenever there are problems, the armed forces are the ones helping the people", he said.
For this reason, he claimed, it is important to continue supporting institutions like the armed forces.
"From the moment the XEW was founded, Televisa has had a strong conviction of supporting and finding the way in which we can build a better country through entertainment, through our list of programs; but also finding the way we can support the institutions that, day after day, together with all the people working for them, make Mexico a better place", noted Grupo Televisa's President.
The President of the Military, Naval and Air Attachés Association, Colonel Julio Eduardo Ramírez from the Uruguay army, recognized Mr. Azcárraga's work as the leader of Grupo Televisa.
"His altruistic spirit is proven with social actions made through Fundación Televisa, and through programs such as Bécalos and Cambia México, addressed to support young students and professors in public schools".
"Gol por Mexico, through which school classrooms are equipped, Imagina y Lee, Mejor en Familia, Imaginantes, Olimpiada Verde, Olimpiada de Lectura, Olimpiada de Fotografía, TV con Causa, among others", he added.
Jose Bastón, President of Television and contents in Grupo Televisa, also attended the event held at the Casino Naval on Avenida Alencastre, in Lomas de Chapultepec.
