Grupo Televisa receives certificates of environmental quality from PROFEPA
Grupo Televisa is given 3 Certificates of Environmental Quality for its participation in the National Program of Environmental Audit, coordinated by the Federal Environment Protection Agency, PROFEPA (As per its Spanish initials)
As part of this recognition granted to the companies by Mexico´s Government through PROFEPA, Grupo Televisa was considered one of the companies that successfully complies with the environmental care.
Since 2004, Grupo Televisa began the process for the Environmental Quality Certification, and now it is awarded with three certificates for: Collection Center; Intermex Distributor; and Santa Fe.
Within this framework, the Environmental Audit Deputy Assistant, Canek Vázquez Góngora, said that during this first year of President Enrique Peña Nieto´s government, PROFEPA has been pursuing the reinforcement of the National Program of Environmental Audit.
He also noted that, by delivering such certificates, Grupo Televisa becomes a distinctive emblem and a reference benchmark for other companies that should go after the environmental quality certification.
The certificates are valid for two years, so Grupo Televisa could begin with the periodic renewal process sixty days prior to their expiration.
The Environmental Certification is founded on impacting decisions in order to have the companies significantly improve their results regarding their production processes, environmental performance and competitiveness.
The international environment demands the companies to be socially aware, but also committed to biodiversity, ecosystems and they should also be highly qualified in the self-regulation of productive processes.
