Mejor en Familia
Televisa created the initiative Todo es Mejor en Familia (Everything is better sharing with Family) in February, 2010, trying to promote family union and reassess the role of the family in the Mexican society.
Ever since it was announced by Emilio Azcárraga Jean, the project has impacted more than 48 million people and has been present in different platforms of Grupo Televisa (Open and pay TV, radio, digital media, Editorial Televisa)
The first phase of the campaign could boost inspiration and deep thought in the Mexican people through the 10 briefs broadcasted, dealing with topics such as solidarity, communication, life together, and self-esteem, among others. Through these messages, we aimed at fostering reflection and the family value as a social, affection and stability support network.
The next phase of the campaign begins in August, 2010 and ends in February 2012; it was focused on motivating people to the action and provided simple advice through Mariano Osorio and Luz María Zetina as the spokespersons along with some specialists. An important effort in this phase was the launch of the website www.todoesmejorenfamilia.org where the audience can find tools to improve their quality of life and their family relations through articles, blogs, information briefs and links to specialized institutions for helping in specific cases.
From February 20, 2012, a new phase begins: Mejor en Familia with Fundación Televisa. This phase aims at showing a closer and more empathic side.
It is intended to reach all the members of the family through the statements made by important celebrities from Televisa who will make the audience remember and reflect on the basic premise of the family: a strong support, a safety, caring and stability net on which better people could be shaped.
In the first phase, nine Televisa´s celebrities will participate, besides Mariano Osorio and Luz María Zetina who have been in the project from the very beginning, Adela Micha, Alfonso Herrera, Andrea Legarreta, Antonio de Valdés, Carmen Salinas, Lolita Ayala, Maite Perroni, Octavio Ocaña, Omar Chaparro have joined the project.
Their most human and family side will be shown, they will share with the audience some meaningful moments and anecdotes that have marked their lives and they will reflect on the importance of such bonds.
