It was created in 1992, when Televisa bought the publishing house Editorial América, which had in its catalogue the most prestigious women's magazines in Latin America, such as Vanidades and Cosmopolitan in Spanish.
Today, it publishes 165 titles under 117 different brands, reaches 20 countries and maintains leadership in 18 of them. In Mexico, where distribution operations
are integrated to the publishing venture, Televisa's publications reach 50% of the country's readers.
The publishing division's magazines cover a wide range of popular interest themes, from health, beauty, fashions and celebrities to technology, travel, sports and science; some of its titles are based on content developed for TV or other platforms.
It holds agreements with some of the world's most prestigious magazine brands, including National Geographic, Hearst, Marie Claire, Disney, Rodale, G+J, Motorpress and Northern & Shell. Televisa's own brands include Vanidades, TV y Novelas, Caras, Tú, Conozca Más, Casaviva, and In Fashion.
